Germany’s FAI Aviation Group has earned a spot on British race car driver Lando Norris’ helmet after extending its executive aviation services partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 team.

FAI, based in Nuremberg, Germany, announced Dec. 19 that it has renewed the partnership it struck with McLaren Racing in 2020 and will be known as an official partner of McLaren’s F1 team. The private jet charter, aircraft management, and air ambulance provider operates a fleet of five Bombardier Global Express and six Challenger 604 jets as well as five Learjet 60s.

“We are extremely pleased to extend our partnership with McLaren Racing following a successful close-to-four-year cooperation,” said Siegfried Axtmann, FAI Aviation Group chairman and founder. “As a company we have boosted our visibility and enhanced our value. We look forward to continue serving the McLaren team, flying them to their race destinations across the world, as their official partner.”

Woking, UK-based McLaren Racing competes across five racing series, including the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with drivers Norris and Oscar Piastri. The team is a signatory to the UN Sports for Climate Action Commitment, which calls for signatories to halve their greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.
